The Friday Random Ten: The "I'm Back" Edition

You know the rules.  Fire up those iPods and tell the blogosphere what's playing.  No skipping.  No rationalizing.  (You'll just have to swallow your pride if that Backstreet Boys song reveals itself!)

1. First Farewell (Perfect Uncertain) -- Cary Judd
2. Close to Me (Staring at the Sea) -- The Cure
3. The Song Was Right (Early Morning Hymns) -- The Old Canes
4. Amazing Again (Still Waiting For Spring) -- Matt Nathanson
5. She Doesn't Get It (Dog Problems) -- The Format
6. Expo '86 (Transatlanticism) -- Death Cab For Cutie
7. We Are More (We Will Become Like Birds) -- Erin McKeown
8. Snowed Under (Somewhere Only We Know EP) -- Keane
9. Anna, Kick a Hole in the Sky (All Together Singing in the Kitchen) -- The Nields
10. In the Dark (The Animal Years) -- Josh Ritter

Seen Live: Matt Nathanson, Erin McKeown, The Nields, Josh Ritter

Majorly Enjoyed: The Song Was Right, Amazing Again, She Doesn't Get It, Snowed Under and Anna, Kick a Hole in the Sky.

Minorly Enjoyed: These are all good songs, actually...

Favorite Lyric:

Jump up, jump down
Sometimes you gotta jump higher
Stand tall, laugh loud
Pretend that your feet are on fire
Pretend that your feet are on fire, Baby...

Good choice on favorite lyric. I've never picked up an Erin McKeown cd--good stuff?

Great lyric choice! We listented to that album all the way to and from NH this weekend -- you should see both the girls in the back bobbing along and singing. As soon as I put a key in the ignition Charlotte requests Aikendrum or the unicorn song. :)
